The Giving Back Foundation honored Hollywood actress Phylicia Rashad and Indian entrepreneur, author, columnist and socialite Suhel Seth at its second gala at The Carlyle in New York City Oct. 8.

Rashad was honored for her philanthropic work and was presented her award by Kanika Gandhi. Seth, who was presented his award by Kabir Gandhi, was recognized for his active role in social change in India.  

GBF is a non-profit organization founded by philanthropist Meera Gandhi in 2010 to mitigate poverty, illness and suffering, and to empower women through education. It has partnered with other charities and beneficiaries around the world, with several partners in India, to allocate resources and empower those who are underprivileged.
