Aiyaary Release Date

MUMBAI—After a delay, director Neeraj Pandey’s "Aiyaary" finally received its censor certificate on Feb. 6. Pandey took to Twitter to breathe a sigh of relief as he posted the picture of the censor certificate.

The approval comes after weeks of team “Aiyaary’”’s efforts to garner clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification as well as the Ministry of Defense.

Pandey had held a screening for the Ministry of Defense on Feb. 3. The screening resulted in prescribed modifications to the film.

Pandey took to Twitter sharing, “Finally... this just arrived. All cleared for #AiyaaryOnFeb16 now! Thank you #CBFCIndia. Thank you MOD. See you on Feb 16 in cinemas near you!”

In a formal announcement, “Aiyaary”’s official handle tweeted, "Thank you #CBFCIndia! Thank you M.O.D! The final countdown for #AiyaaryOnFeb16 begins now! “

Manoj Bajpayee wrote, “That’s a green light for #AiyaaryOnFeb16 with no more pit stops along the way! Thank you #CBFCIndia and MOD.”

Actress Rakul Preet Singh expressed, “And It’s a smooth road ahead to #AiyaaryOnFeb16! Thank you #CBFCIndia and MOD.”

The film will now release on Feb. 16 solo and not with “Pad Man.”
