Just like her mother Shweta Bachchan Nanda, who writes columns for a newspaper, her daughter Navya Naveli also enjoys writing. The young girl recently wrote a column for Hello! magazine about the importance of youth and making a change. And her grandfather Amitabh Bachchan is really proud of her.

"MY grand daughter Navya Naveli, expresses herself in the ‘Hello’ magazine .. so so so proud of her," wrote Bachchan on Twitter.

Coming from the family of the legendary poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan, we are not surprised that Shweta and her daughter Navya have taken after their grandfather and great grand-father respectively when it comes to their love for writing.

Here's an excerpt from Navya's column that Bachchan posted on Twitter:

India, with 1.2 billion people, has the largest youth population in the world at 365 million, where every 3rd person in an Indian city today is a youth. We dominate not only on a national scale, but also universally, placing the power to influence minds all across the world in our hands. The complex ‘secret ingredient’ behind changing the way a nation thinks is through something very simple; beauty. Personally, beauty is something that defines each an every individual. In today’s world, we all aspire to be the model on the front cover or the man in the advert, following our idea of ‘beauty’. However, it isn’t about wearing the most glamorous dress, having the perfect winged eyeliner or being the fairest. It’s all about being you. The purpose behind beauty, is to stop looking for it, and finding it within yourself! Our generation (yes, the kids with the mobile phones!!) hold an unknown potential to change the way the world thinks, the way India thinks. By definition, it is a ‘beautiful or pleasing thing’ whether aesthetical or dispositional, we all carry beauty within us in some way or another. In a nation with 1.2 billion, sometimes we fail to see the change 1 individual can make, 1 beautiful individual.
