MUMBAI—Asha Bhosle’s grand-daughter Zanai Bhosle’s Apple-authorized reseller store, iAzure, launched the iPhone X on Nov.4. Besides daughter-in-law Anuja Bhosle, actor Jackie Shroff, Abhay Chopra, Meghna Puri of Whistling Woods International, Ruchika Verma of Nanhi Kali NGO, Asha’s grandson, singer-musician Chintoo Bhosle, singer Adnan Hussian and actor Saahil Chadha attended the launch. Chopra purchased the first iPhone X, which was handed over to him by Shroff.

Said Anuja Bhosle, “This is a phenomenal moment. It is technology way beyond one’s imagination, and finally, we will get to experience this amazing invention! I really miss Asha aai (mom) on this occasion as she is currently in Dubai for a concert with my husband, Anand. Philanthropy has always been the culture of Apple, and also of our Mangeshkar- Bhosle family, with the Mangeshkar Medical Trust and now the Asha Bhosle Humanitarian Trust. The cause of the girl-child is very close to our hearts.”

She added, “At iAzure, we are giving back a part of the proceeds from the store to the girl-child, to Nanhi Kali, an NGO whose objective is to provide 10 years of quality education to girl children from economically disadvantaged families. I feel every business should make a contribution towards society, and we are taking a small step in that direction.”
