MUMBAI—Bollywood's leading lady Deepika Padukone hosted a lavish party at her SoBo residence to celebrate the tremendous love and response the audience has been showering on her for her portrayal of Padmavati and the graceful “Ghoomar” dance.
The actress hosted a party on Nov. 4 night for the who's who of Bollywood. The impromptu party witnessed a barrage of B-town folks dressed in their best. One of the firsts to arrive at the venue was Deepika Padukone's “Padmavati” co-star Ranveer Singh, who has wrapped up his shooting for his role as Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film.
Also in attendance was Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Gauri Khan, Manish Malhotra, Jhanvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Juno Chopra, Ishaan Khattar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Abhishek Bachchan, and Zoya Akhtar to name a few.
Deepika Padukone essays the role of Rani Padmini in “Padmavati” that releases on Dec. 1. She has received a thumbs up from the masses for her look and enactment of the ‘Goddess Queen.’
The actress has been flooded with appreciation for her effortless performance of Ghoomar dance in the “Ghoomar” song. The song that has garnered more than 30 million views has social media in a tizzy with the masses sending in their versions mimicking Padukone's Ghoomar dance.
