MUMBAI — One of the biggest names in entertainment, Eros International, has joined hands in a deal with Ritesh Sidhwani’s and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and Hiroo and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions — two of India’s leading banners — for Nitya Mehra’s time-travel love story, “Baar Baar Dekho.”
This is the first time ever that Excel and Dharma, who have worked before with other production houses, are coming together.
Jyoti Deshpande, group CEO of Eros International, said, “We are delighted to join forces with two of the most notable production houses, Excel and Dharma, for this very interesting love story. With such creative forces behind the project, audiences can only expect the very best. Through this partnership, we hope to drive together the strategy for creating, marketing and distributing the film on a global platform.”
The film goes on floor in London Sept. 1. It will be shot across several international locations and will release in 2016. According to Kaif, the film sees the lead pair age to about 60 years.
