MUMBAI—Farah Khan has slammed Kangana Ranaut for playing the women’s card in her feud with Hrithik Roshan. The Hrithik Roshan–Kangana Ranaut spat news that had died down after rearing its ugly head many months ago has come back. This began after Ranaut’s claims on the popular chat show “Aap Ki Adalat.” While a section of the media and fans praised her for being brave, she was also ridiculed, especially by those who she targeted, like Apurva Asrani, Aditya Pancholi, Gurpreet Kaur Chadha and others.

Even those not related to the mess reacted like the big-mouthed Sona Mohapatra went on a rampage on Twitter. The latest is now Farah Khan. At the media interaction of her new reality show “Lip Sing Battle,” Khan implied that Ranaut is playing the woman’s card. She also pointed out that if a man had made similar claims like Ranaut, his life would have been hell and by now, he would have been in jail. She said that if such stunts are unacceptable from a man, then the same rule should apply to women as well.

As for one of her victims, Aditya Pancholi also hit back at Ranaut. “Produce the FIR copy or issue an unconditional apology!” the veteran actor hit back. Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel’s tirade against the actor and his family has caught up with him, leaving him feeling shaken and extremely upset. The actor’s family has been hounded on social media after the allegations the actress made against him, both on “Aap Ki Adalat” and Barkha Dutt’s “The Town Hall TV” shows. Pancholi broke down twice while talking about his children to a leading entertainment portal.

Pancholi told them, “I am not angry with Kangana, but I feel so sorry for this lovely actress. People should take a lesson on what not to do from her. You can’t treat the film industry so badly – a place that has given your bread and butter! We are one big family, and I have been in the film industry for 33 years, my wife Zarina has been here for 40 years, and Rakesh Roshan-ji has been here for 50 years. He’s a pioneer in filmmaking and a legend.”

He goes on, “My wife has worked with Rakesh-Ji in two films and worked with Hrithik Roshan in ‘Agneepath,’ in which she played his mother. She tells me that both of them are real gentlemen. There are so many relationships that don’t work out, but you move on. I am talking about what she’s said on these two shows. The onus is on her to prove that what she’s said is right.”

Rubbishing her tirade against nepotism, Pancholi asked, “Tomorrow if Kangana ever gets married and she has children, and they want to enter the film industry, will she not support them? Or will she say – no, join the circus?”

He added, “I am saying what she has said on the two nationally-televised shows – she should prove those allegations. Let’s talk about facts: you say you have filed a FIR in Versova police station, I say, forget Versova – show the FIR copy from any police in Mumbai or India. You (Ranaut) may have lost it, but it will be there in the police records. Produce the FIR copy or issue an unconditional apology! Don’t rub me the wrong way, because I know her better than her parents and her sister. Nobody was here when Kangana was alone in Mumbai!”
