MUMBAI — Ten years after the release of “Golmaal - Fun Unlimited” on July 14, 2006, Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty have announced the launch of “Golmaal Again,” the fourth installment in the comedy series. While the other details are being worked out, we hopefully look forward to a rollicking Diwali 2017, when the film will release.
As of now, besides a lot of the technical team, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar were common to all three films so far released — the 2006 one, which was a success, the 2008 sequel “Golmaal Returns” that was a hit, and the bigger hit “Golmaal 3” that was also a 100 crore-plus netting movie in 2010. The latter two films starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shreyas Talpade and had music by Pritam. Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision, now legally defunct, had produced the three films.
Devgn and Shetty are coming back together for the 10th time out of 12 Shetty directorials, including another franchise, “Singham” and “Singham Returns.”
