MUMBAI—Vikram Bhatt’s “1921” has commenced shooting in the UK from May 18 onwards. This story about love and fear stars Zarine Khan with one of the most popular romantic heroes of Indian television industry, Karan Kundra, in the lead.
“1921” will be shot in various locations in the UK. The film comes in the wake of Bhatt’s numerous successful outings in similar genres like “Haunted 3D” and the “1920” and “Raaz” franchises. Like the “1920” series, this film also has a strong romantic and emotional premise besides the scare-fest and is based in the year 1921.
Bhatt has planned a scale-up on all counts – production values, music, horror quotient, technology et al. The film will have a Victorian, classic look.
On the occasion of the first day of the shoot, Bhatt said in a media release, “The point is just not to scare but to make the audience feel for the characters and want them protected. ‘1921’ is a film that goes beyond the genre. Why can't the villain of a great love be a great evil?”
The film revolves around the lead cast dealing with their dark pasts and secrets to secure their present and future.
