MUMBAI — Imran Khan and Kangana Ranaut actually met and studied 16 live-in couples as part of their prep for “Katti Batti,” in which they are shown as a live-in couple. These two actors’ friends helped them reach out to and spend time with couples who were in live-in relationships for two years or more. All of the couples were college students from across India.

The actors were keen to closely learn these couples’ body language, kinds of conversations they had and their behavior with each other in different situations.

The trailer has received positive feedback for the Nikhil Advani film, which is set to release Sep. 18.

Khan stated: “I had been in a relationship with Avantika for a long time. However, Kangana felt that we should meet and interact with a lot of live-in couples together. It turned out to be a fun exercise.”
