MUMBAI — Kriti Sanon has made a foray into the world of fashion. The actress has collaborated with the Sachin Tendulkar-backed celebrity fashion company Universal Sportsbiz Pvt. Ltd. to launch Ms. Taken, a signature western wear line. The collection of sports, casual and semi-formal garments has categories including tops, tunics, dresses, trousers, jackets, denims and so on.
As usual, Ms. Taken is said to “epitomize the young, confident and independent Indian woman” who expresses her individuality and walks her own path. The brand was launched with an offbeat fashion walk showcasing the Fall-Winter 2016 collection with Sanon being the showstopper at Hotel Four Seasons Sept. 21.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanon said, “An Indian woman’s demeanor is often misconstrued when she expresses herself. Ms. Taken asserts the young woman’s aspirations and confidence. My aim is to provide affordable western wear attuned to our Indian sensibilities. Ms. Taken is also a reflection of my own sense of style and allows me to connect with people beyond my films. I am delighted to collaborate with Anjana (Reddy) and her team to bring to life our vision of launching a stylish range of clothing in India.”

For Sanon, just two films old, this is one more new horizon apart from doing new films with Sushant Singh Rajput (“Raabta”), Farhan Akhtar (Nikkhil Advani’s film), music videos, and an ad film with Aanand L. Rai and Tiger Shroff.
