MUMBAI—Rani Mukerji will finally use social media to engage with fans and audiences during the promotions of her new film, Yash Raj Films’ “Hichki,” presented by her husband, Aditya Chopra.
Amidst growing requests for her to join social media, Mukerji, who has completed 21 years in films, will finally break her hiatus as she wants to engage with audiences and her fans directly, that is, through the film’s and YRF’s official social media platforms, reveal details and also launch the assets of the movie.
Most of Mukerji’s fans want her to join social media so that they can keep in touch with their favorite superstar on a daily basis. They want her to share her life, thoughts, and experiences with them, but as Mukerji is a private person, she is making an exception for the promotions of her next movie.
The actress will also be using the official social media profiles of YRF and “Hichki” to connect and engage with audiences and fans. She wants to launch the assets of her next directly to those audiences who are using digital as the platform to consume content. This is going to be a new experience for her, and that is what is exciting the actress.
