Mumbai — Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has crossed 11 million followers on Twitter, becoming only the second Indian to achieve the feat after Amitabh Bachchan.

The 49-year-old “Happy New Year” star joined the site in January 2010 and has posted 8136 tweets so far.

Bachchan, 72, has 12.8 million fans on Twitter.

Other Indian celebrities who are among the most followed on the site are Aamir Khan (10.8 million followers), Salman Khan (10.2 million), Deepika Padukone (9.13 million), Priyanka Chopra (8.51 million), Hrithik Roshan (8.22 million) and Akshay Kumar (7.27 million).
