Shah Rukh Khan will do an extended cameo in Karan Johar’s “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.” (IANS photo)

In what could be called a screen reunion after six years, Shah Rukh Khan will be doing an extended cameo in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,” directed and co-produced by Karan Johar and starring Ranbir Kapoor. Saif Ali Khan was to do the role, but his hand injury put a spanner into the works.

This being Johar’s sixth directorial, it will be his fifth with SRK, though also the first one in a cameo, after “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai,” “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham…,” “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” and “My Name is Khan.” And if they do share a frame, SRK will be appearing with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan a full 14 years after “Devdas!”
