Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to perform in a series of shows in September as part of their “SLAM” tour of North America to promote their upcoming film “Happy New Year.”

Mumbai — Shah Rukh Khan has planned a worldwide tour to promote his upcoming film “Happy New Year.”

The tour, called “Slam!,” will start from Sept.19 in Houston and will continue to New Jersey, Toronto, Chicago, Vancouver and San Jose.

The 48-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the news with his fans.

"Seduce u...amaze u...go mad with u! SLAM The Tour from the ‘Happy New Year’ Team (sic)," he tweeted.

"U.S. and Canada ‘slammed’ Sept. 19 in Houston, Sept. 20 in New Jersey, Sept. 21 in Toronto, Sept. 26 in Chicago, Sept. 27 in Vancouver and Sept. 28 in San Jose," he wrote.

The tour will also feature the rest of the cast of the film, including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and debutant Vivaan Shah.

The actors will be joined by the film’s director Farah Khan, as well as Malaika Arora Khan, rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and “Baby Doll” singer Kanika Kapoor.

“Happy New Year,” produced by Gauri Khan, is scheduled to release this Diwali on Oct. 23.

This will be Shah Rukh’s third collaboration with director Farah after “Om Shanti Om,” which also starred Deepika.
