Sonakshi Sinha in the “Akira” movie poster.

Actress Sonakshi Sinha plays an aggressive college student in her upcoming action drama “Akira.” The movie poster for the film was released June 28, and Sinha looks ready to kill.

The 29-year-old actress took to Twitter to unveil the poster, tweeting: “She will fight back. No one will be forgiven! Heres the 1st poster of #Akira & more good news: #AkiraTrailerOnJuly4.”

The poster features a profile view of Sinha in the foreground wearing a casual gray long-sleeved shirt and sporting an intense look on her face. The one-inch scar on her cheekbone adds to the toughness of her character. With minimal makeup and grungy, tousled, shoulder-length hair, Sinha’s boyish look reminds us of Katrina Kaif’s action avatar in “Phantom.” Devoid of her usual glam avatar, Sinha is set to impress with her hardcore action sequences.

In the background of the "Akira" poster are filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Konkona Sen Sharma.

After the teaser poster for “Akira” came out June 20, actor Akshay Kumar, who co-starred with Sinha in “Rowdy Rathore,” “Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty” and “Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara!” and will once again share screen space with her in "“Namaste England,” took to Twitter to praise Sinha and express his excitement over her upcoming film.

The film’s trailer releases July 4, and we can’t wait to see Sinha in action mode. “Akira” is a remake of the 2011 Tamil film “Mouna Guru.” The film releases Sept. 2.
