MUMBAI — The song “Teri Fariyad” from “Tum Bin 2” has become a rage with the audience. Not only is the song topping some charts, but it is also being appreciated for being like a “return” of the ghazal in cinema. It has been re-created for the sequel and features Jagjit Singh’s voice (taken with technology from the landmark song in “Tum Bin” in 2001 composed by Nikhil-Vinay) along with Rekha Bhardwaj as a co-singer.

Producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anubhav Sinha were of the opinion that the music album would have been incomplete without this ghazal from the prequel, and, in any case, Kumar always brings in a re-creation in most of his productions. The song is filmed on Neha Sharma, Aashim Gulati and Aditya Seal, and has been recreated by Ankit Tiwari with lyrics by Shakeel Azmi.

The film releases Nov. 18.
