MUMBAI — Tiger Shroff has recently rejected “Aankhen 2,” because girlfriend Disha Patani was not accepted by the producer as his heroine in the film. Shroff denies it, of course.

Sonakshi Sinha’s face in “Akira,” the A.R. Murugadoss actioner, has a deep gash on one side with an interesting backstory. The buzz is the director wanted to show that she has gone through enough and still can stand up and fight. Incidentally, Fox Star Studios has pushed this film to release ahead of Neeraj Pandey’s “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story,” starring Sushant Singh Rajput.

Urvashi Rautela has reportedly considered the milk-bath scene she has been shown having in “Great Grand Masti” as a beauty ritual. The reports are Indra Kumar was inspired by Cleopatra’s milk baths, but the actress had signed the film, as she had enjoyed the earlier installments of the franchise.

There is a heavily-guarded shooting floor with music wafting out at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios, The news is that it is the venue where Varun Dhawan is shooting his special song with Parineeti Chopra in “Dishoom,” one of the only two songs in the film.

Kavita Kaushik, SAB TV superstar with “FIR” behind her, is reportedly unhappy with the content and script, as well as her character, in their new show “Dr. Bhanumati On Duty.” All three aspects seem to ape “FIR,” and she wants changes, pronto!

A song in the directorial debut of Sunil Subramani, starring Sharman Joshi, will have Ranbir Kapoor reciting “shaayari.” Subramani is Kapoor’s pal Anurag Basu’s assistant.

Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli had a serious spat on the sets of “Rock On!! 2” that disrupted shooting till lead actor and co-producer Farhan Akhtar intervened.

Manisha Koirala is reportedly playing the 45-year-old mother who reunites with her son after 20 years in a Hindi-Bengali as-yet untitled film.

The buzz is that after John Abraham busted his knee while shooting for “Force 2” in Budapest, he underwent corrective surgery and will now shoot the same sequence in Mumbai. Abraham is also considering a biopic on Hawa Singh, the boxing legend who mentored Virender Singh.

Apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vicky Kaushal is another actor completely unaffected by the dismal performance of “Raman Raghav 2.0.” He has been signed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his period drama on Mewar’s queen Padmavati. Bhansali is also going to dedicate this new film to Lata Mangeshkar.

Arjun Kapoor will mimic both uncle Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt as Munnabhai besides Arshad Warsi as Circuit in his first voice-over — for Buck in “Ice Age: Collision Course.”

Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra are still very much an “item” and spent time in London where Bhatt went for a break and Malhotra stopped over in London after a Miami shooting spell.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has never forgotten that Emraan Hashmi, long back, had called her “plastic” on Karan Johar’s show. She has turned down Milan Luthria’s new film starring Ajay Devgn because most of her scenes were to be with the serial kisser, as Hashmi is known.

The buzz is that Devgn’s actress-wife Kajol, who has not so much as sung a few lines in a song and has stuck only to acting, is finally going beyond it. She is in charge of the film’s marketing and promotional campaign of Devgn’s “Shivaay.” Well, after four blockbusters and two flops with good friend Shah Rukh Khan, she must have picked a few tips from that business ace in their long association!

The buzz is that the trailer of “Rustom” will be attached to “Sultan.” Though Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are pretty friendly, it is still a surprise to see a non-YRF film share this honor with a premium Yash Raj Films product.

Stay tuned to this space for more buzz soon.
