MUMBAI—Producer-director Vikram Bhatt shot at one of the most haunted locations in the UK for his horror drama “1921,” England's Wentworth Woodhouse in South Yorkshire, to maintain the authenticity of the genre. The place is known to experience paranormal activities. There is documented evidence of the same in a documentary that can be seen here.
Bhatt actually spotted a ghost while shooting there, a ghost not seen by the naked eye yet caught on camera, as his tweet shows. The entire cast and crew was instructed to stay together while shooting after this ghost-like figure was spotted on the sets.
Set in the year 1921, the film deals with Ayush’s (Karan Kundrra) and Rose (Zareen Khan)’s battle with extreme paranormal activities created by a ruthless and cursed spirit. The film releases Jan. 12. Bhatt insists that his film is a love story with a backdrop of horror, rather than the converse.
