MUMBAI— Film and television actor Vindu Dara Singh’s maiden venture on stage has reaped a rich harvest: “Golmaal – The Play” has received appreciation from not only the audience but also stars and celebrities.

Johny Lever said, “Wakayi hi kamaal dhamaal comedy hai! (It’s really a hilarious comedy)!” Archana Puran Singh stated,“It’s a great laugh-a-minute comedy!” Bhagyashree and husband Himalay Dassani, who is a producer and businessman, also loved it.

Alka Yagnik commented, “I think “Golmaal….” is the funniest play I have ever seen”! The view was endorsed by Sonu Nigam, while Pankaj Udhas found it “Pure non-stop laughter.”

Actor-director Parmeet Sethi excitedly says, “Bzzzzzzzzz…, outstanding. People will understand as to what I’m saying when they see the play.” “It is very hard to make an audience laugh and “Golmaal – The Play” has passed the test with flying colors!” said Avtar Gill.

The play is a satire on the education system, including its functioning and policies, and the trouble parents have running from pillar to post. The popular Punjab duo Lakbhir Lahiri and Lucky Hans are the directors. Apart from Vindu Dara Singh, the play features Sheeba, Rajesh Puri, Payal Goga Kapoor, Lakhbir Lahiri, Surleen Kaur and Akashdeep. It has been written by Lucky Hans, while Akashdeep is the creative director.

Vindu Dara Singh is ecstatic with the response received for his maiden production. “I am lucky to have got a fantastic team. It is a good sign. The crowd has applauded and has approved my maiden production, which is a blessing,” he said in a special media release.
