MUMBAI—It was a proud moment for the “Bahubali” stars Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah Bhatia to be honored at the 37th Annual India Day Parade in New York. They were the chief guests at the event and also represented the South Indian film industry.

The event was organized at Manhattan on Aug. 20 by the Federation of Indian Associations, New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. The parade featured tableaux by several Indian American organizations, marching bands and police contingents with cultural performances by young Indian American children.

Sharing the experience, the actress said, “It was an amazing experience to see Indians celebrating the country’s culture and heritage. I am honored that I got this chance to represent India and be a part of such a wonderful event.” Daggubati echoed his co-star’s sentiments.
