It's here! Finally, the much-anticipated official trailer of Deepika Padukone's Hollywood debut, "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" was released July 20. This action-packed glimpse of the film is everything one expected from the male lead, Vin Diesel, but, to the disappointment of Padukone's fans, she didn't get as much screen space in the trailer as one expected.

Diesel posted the trailer on his social media accounts:

The trailer opens with Padukone and co-star Ruby Rose holding up their guns. The tag words "Guns! Girls! Global Domination!" are juxtaposed on a slickly edited, fast-paced trailer with Diesel winning all the way with his impeccable action scenes. What seems to be saving the world from yet another threat, the plot of the movie as described by Wikipedia revolves around Cage. Extreme-athlete-turned-government-operative Xander Cage (Diesel) comes out of a self-imposed exile, thought to be long dead, and is set on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.

A midriff-baring, mostly clad in all-black Padukone is seen wielding guns and doing flying kicks in the about three-and-a-half appearances that she makes in this one-minute-and-thirty-second long trailer. Padukone is one of the three girls in the film. She may not be as visible in the trailer, but from the posts of co-stars and the word around the film, fans can expect to see Padukone in a somewhat meaty role in the film. "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" releases Jan. 20, 2017.
