Zayn Malik is officially among the Top 10 most handsome men in the world, according to an ancient Greek formula.
The British Pakistani pop star ranked ninth on a list created by Dr. Julian De Silva, a London-based plastic surgeon.
The No. 1 spot — no surprises here — was given to Hollywood actor George Clooney.
Clooney’s features were found to be 91.86 percent accurate to the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty Phi, which for thousands of years was thought to hold the secret formula of perfection, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
“He has beautiful facial symmetry and gets closer than any other man to having what the Greeks considered the perfect face,” De Silva was quoted as saying about Clooney.
De Silva used computer mapping techniques and the Greek theory while analyzing the faces of ten celebrities. He compared their facial shape and features like eyes, noses, mouths, eyebrows, chins, and jaws to the Greek Golden Ratio of 1.618.
Clooney was closely followed by Bradley Cooper and Brad Pitt, while the fourth, fifth and sixth spots were reserved for “One Direction” singer Harry Styles, David Beckham, and Will Smith, respectively. Idris Elba took the eighth place and was followed by Ryan Gosling at ninth place. Malik and Jamie Foxx round out the list.
