American tennis star Venus Williams, who is currently in Bengaluru, India to play the Champions Tennis League (CTL), also attended a charity gala Thursday evening in the city.

Venus, who plays for the Bengaluru Raptors team, walked the ramp draped in a saree.

Venus wore a Ritu Kumar bright yellow saree with gold embroidered border and a red blouse. She teamed it with golden bracelet and earrings.

The tennis star insisted that she wanted to walk the ramp to a Bollywood number. So fashion guru Prasad Bidapa and his team decided to choose Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's (who is a Bengaluru girl) song "Lovely," from the movie "Happy New Year."

"Venus insisted on walking the ramp to a Bollywood number and we chose the track, " said Prasad.

And Venus didn't just walk the ramp. She also did a few dance steps to the number draped in a saree.
