She has been in the U.S. for the past 10 months shooting for her upcoming Hollywood film “Baywatch” and TV series “Quantico.” Priyanka Chopra recently wrapped up these two international projects and is now back in Mumbai for 10 days.
“The shooting of ‘Baywatch’ is done; all have packed up. The film is completed and will release in May next year. The shooting of ‘Quantico’ season one is completed. I have come home for 10 days and will go for ‘Quantico’ season two in July,” Chopra told IANS at the airport after returning from the U.S.
The actress received a very warm welcome from her fans at the Mumbai airport May 26.
She was accompanied by her “Quantico” co-star Yasmine Al Masri, who plays twins Nimah and Raina Amin on the show.
Besides giving Masri a tour of Mumbai, Chopra seems to be basking in the love of her family. The "Bajirao Mastani" actress shared a special birthday message on her social media accounts to her nani May 27.
After her grueling shooting schedules, Chopra certainly deserves the break. The actress is enjoying the comforts of home and her new house.
I'd Hardly been in my new house since it was made.but being back..there's Something so comforting about the familiarity of it..like a hug— PRIYANKA (@priyankachopra) May 29, 2016
Gearing up for the second season of "Quantico," Chopra is also reported to be hunting for an apartment in Manhattan, since the upcoming season will be shot in New York. The first season was shot primarily in Montreal, Canada.
Meanwhile, Chopra has even developed a new hobby of bird watching. She Instagrammed a photo of a pigeon May 28 along with the caption, "Bird watching... #vacay @chickyp85 so glad u here.."
Chopra plays FBI agent Alex Parrish in “Quantico” and villain Victoria Leeds in “Baywatch.”
When asked by IANS about her upcoming Hindi films, she replied, “Now that I have returned, I’ll decide what films I’ll do. I haven’t decided yet.”
Her last Hindi film, “Jai Gangaajal,” did decent business at the box office, and there are reports of Chopra being part of both of her “Bajirao Mastani” director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s rumored films: “Gustakhiyaan” and a period drama on Rani Padmavati.
Chopra’s name has also come up for a film offered by Aditya Chopra, Boney Kapoor’s “Sikhni” and Abhinay Deo’s superwoman film, none of which have been confirmed.
