MUMBAI — After wooing the audience with double doses of drama, twists and entertainment, Zee TV’s homegrown non-fiction show, “India’s Best Judwaah,” drew to a close with Ajmer twins Harsha and Varsha being announced as the winners. The show has been the first to celebrate the unique bond shared by pairs of identical twins from across the country.

The contestants’ ‘twin-tuition’ was put to test through interesting tasks and challenges. Upon being declared the winners, Harsha and Varsha were awarded the coveted trophy and a cash prize of Rs.11,11,111 (which means one twin will have to get a rupee less!!).

Rajasthan’s Sambhav and Sankalp, who put up a tough fight, were named as the first runner-up. Joining the celebrations of the grand finale night were producer-twins Raghu and Rajiv along with host Karanvir Bohra, who not only supported the ‘Judwaahs’ throughout the season but also served as their closest confidante on the show.

Addressed as “Papa Ki Pariyaa (Angels of dad),” twins Harsha and Varsha braved their way through every test and proved their compatibility at every level of the game. They took challenges in their stride and turned them into opportunities to discover unknown facts about each other.

“‘India’s Best Judwaah’ has been a delightful experience, which not only tested our bond but actually made it stronger,” said Harsha. “The tasks and challenges

made us realize how unbreakable is our connection. We wouldn’t have reached this stage if it wasn’t for Varsha’s complete support. I would like to thank Zee TV, and Raghu-sir and Rajiv-sir for giving us a platform to live this wonderful experience that I am going to cherish forever.”

Added Varsha, “‘India’s Best Judwaah’ has been an unforgettable journey. It has been something that I cannot describe in words. Our father’s belief in us and his constant support motivated us to perform well and win the show. We are happy to make him proud and would like to dedicate our victory to him.”

Celebrating the first successful season of “India’s Best Judwaah,” Deepak Rajadhyaksha, deputy business head of Zee TV, said, “We experimented with a

concept that celebrated the beautiful bond shared by twin siblings and transformed it into a great entertainment proposition. Over the past two months, 12 pairs of twins have diligently performed strenuous tasks to strengthen their twin quotient.”

Host Bohra said, “Hosting this show has been an extremely exciting and entertaining experience. Being a father to twins myself, I have come to understand how sacred and strong twin connections are and I am glad that I got to witness so many special bonds first-hand.”

Producers Raghu-Rajiv of Monozygotic Solutions (identical twins are born when one zygote splits into two) said, “What a season it has been! When we conceived the show’s concept, we only knew one thing – if we as twins share such a strong connection, there must be others, too, who have similar experiences. We are happy that we could make the entire country realize how special and magical a twin sibling bond is.”

The grand finale episode of “India’s Best Judwaah” was a night filled with dance, fun and power-packed performances.
