MUMBAI—Three generations and one grand stage. Aapka Colors launches a hunt for the ultimate “Dance Deewane” from Jun. 2 on weekends at 9 pm ET/PT.

A perfect pirouette, a flawless mudras or the overall high-octane performances – what makes you the greatest dancer from these? Well, it’s passion, not technique.

Launching a nationwide hunt, Aapka Colors offers three generations of India a glorious chance to share one grand stage that will be judged by Madhuri Dixit Nene, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia. With the spotlight on the passion for dance, this platform invites dancers from all walks of life and divides them into three age categories – children, youth and adults. The three finalists, one from each category, will compete for the title of being India’s unrivalled ‘dance deewana.’

The show is produced by Dreams Vault Media. Manisha Sharma, programming head, said, “During the audition phase, the participants proved that if one is passionate about dancing, age is no bar. Heading the panel will be dance stalwarts who will make a fantastic combination to judge these talented participants on the basis of their passion for dance and bring all three generations together.”

Dixit said, “I have always shared a very successful relationship with the channel, and I am super excited to be a part of their unique new reality show. For me, dancing is a passion and a very important part of who I am. I am eagerly waiting for the show to begin.”

Director Shashank Khaitan said, “With ‘Dance Deewane,’ I am debuting on a reality show that promises to cut across the clutter and bring together different age groups on the same stage. We are on the hunt for those talented dancers, age no barrier, who will enthrall India with their deewangi for dance. Sharing the jury panel with Madhuri-ji is an honour, she has always been one of my personal favorites.”

Choreographer Tushar Kalia added, “From being a contestant to now being a part of the judges’ trio, it has been a long but enriching journey for me. I am humbled to have been offered this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; besides, Madhuri ma’am and Shashank Khaitan as your co-judges is definitely overwhelming.”

Encouraging the contestants were industry stalwarts Salman Khan and Anil Kapoor with Jacqueline Fernandez and Daisy Shah. The shoot witnessed many special moments with Khan and Dixit re-creating their “Hum Aapke Hai Koun!...” magic, Dixit and Fernandez grooving to their hit number “Ek Do Teen” and Anil Kapoor’s limitless energy.
