MUMBAI— On June 6, when Amitabh. Bachchan beckoned India to answer a question, kick-starting registrations for the 10th season of “Kaun Banega Crorepati,” the upcoming show went on to achieve a milestone. For the very first time, the show clocked in maximum participation over a single question, with 27.2 lakh entries from aspirants across the country!

For the first time in the history of “KBC,” the registrations have seen such a hysterical volume. While the opportunity to sit on the hot-seat will be achieved only by a lucky few, the show is synonymous with changing the fate of people who are unafraid to use the power of their knowledge.

Registrations for this season are open till Jun. 22. The mode of registration is to correctly answer these questions via SMS, IVRS or through Sony LIV. Amogh Dusad, head, digital products at Sony Entertainment Television, said, “We are hoping that the entire nation continues to participate with the same fervor till Jun. 22. Every time we set out for a new season of “KBC” with certain expectations, we are pleasantly surprised with the growing popularity that the show commands. This year too is no different, and it only reinforces the power of knowledge that is waiting to be unleashed.”

Eighteen years and going strong, this is indeed the Numero Uno game show on Indian television.
