MUMBAI—The entire production crew and the artists present for the shoot of “Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya” celebrated the completion of 50 episodes. This momentous occasion saw the cutting of a cake and the team partying while working.

The artistes clicked selfies with each other and posting them on social media. Soon we will get to the watch the wedding drama in the show that hopes for many more milestones.

Created by Shashi Sumeet Mittal for Shashi Sumeet Productions, the serial stars Tejaswi Prakash and Rohit Suchanti. It is an Indian mystery drama series on Sony Entertainment India, which is a restructuring of “Pehredaar Piya Ki,” which received negative social media response for depicting its two central characters, Diya, an 18-year-old princess and Ratan, a 9-year-old prince, as married.

The Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCC) had asked SET India to move the series to a later 10 pm time slot, but after a consequent drop in viewership, the show was restructured in part by removing the child marriage theme and advancing Ratan's age to adulthood and recasting the character. It now follows the life of a 30-year-old girl Diya, who sacrifices 12 years of her life to fulfilling a dying man’s wish by becoming the caretaker of his heir and son, Ratan Maan Singh.
