MUMBAI—It’s the ultimate way of boosting TRPs (viewership ratings in India).

Aap Ka Colors’ popular social dramas “Udann” and “Laado-Veerpur Ki Mardaani” came together in a “Mahasangam” episode on Dec. 15. The leads of the show, Avika Gor, Rituraj Singh, Meera Deosthale and Vidhi Pandya were featured in this episode.

Avika Gor (Anushka) of “Laado…” is in search of the boy who has proof about her sister’s kidnapper, when her path crosses with “Udann”’s Chakor (Meera Deosthale). Both head out to a party organized by Imli (Vidhi Pandya) in Azaadganj, hoping to find the boy there. Balwant (Rituraj Singh) is also present at the party.

Speaking about sharing the screen with Pandya, Rituraj, who essays the role of Balwant, said, “Vidhi and I instantly hit it off. She is an amazing actor. The story lines of the two shows are the same in terms of fighting against evil. It was really amazing to work with Vidhi and Meera (Chakor). We really enjoyed shooting the episode.”

Gor added, “It was absolutely fun to shoot the episode with the cast of “Udann.” Meera is a ball of energy and full-on enthusiasm! Our talks are in sync and even our choices. She has positive vibes. I had a gala time shooting with her and hope to know her more as a person.”

Pandya, who is doing a grey character in “Udann” after the time leap taken by the show, shared, “Shooting with the cast of “Laado” was an amazing experience. I love Amma-ji’s character the most, and her acting is flawless. Rituraj and I are having a lot of fun, on-screen and off-screen. I am so glad this opportunity came our way, and we got to shoot together. It is an experience to cherish.”

Will the girls will be successful in finding the boy and eventually Janvi’s kidnapper? To what extent will Balwant and Imli go for stopping Anushka and Chakor in their quest?

No need to choose one soap over the other to lather out soppy entertainment when you get both for the time of one! Phew!
