HAVANA, Cuba — During U.S. President Barack Obama’s historic visit to Cuba, the first time a sitting U.S. president has visited Cuba in 88 years, First Lady Michelle Obama decided to wear a dress by Indian American designer Naeem Khan.

According to a New York Times report, the first lady has worn Khan’s designs several times before, including the gown she wore to a state dinner for India in 2009.

“I had sent her a couple of different things,” Khan told the New York Times Mar. 22. “I had no idea. You never know what she’s going to wear. I guess I got pretty lucky.”
