Actor Arjun Kapoor, who shot to fame with his performance in “Ishaqzaade,” is likely to team up with producer Aditya Chopra for yet another Yash Raj Films (YRF) movie.
After essaying a rustic character in YRF’s “Ishaqzaade,” the young Bollywood actor is playing a double role in his upcoming film “Aurangzeb.” His third film with the YRF banner is “Gunday,” a romantic flick. All three of Kapoor’s films have been backed by Chopra.
The “Aurangzeb” trio — Kapoor, Chopra and director Atul Sabharwal — are likely to team up again for a movie together. “Aurangzeb,” an action-crime thriller directed by Sabharwal, stars South Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kapoor in the lead.
Chopra is quite happy and excited with the reaction generated by the trailer of “Aurangzeb.” “Aditya is very happy with the kind of response the film and the trailer have gathered. He has given a go ahead to Arjun and Atul to team up again for a film,” a YRF spokesperson said in a statement.
“Aurangzeb” will launch Sasha Aagha, daughter of Pakistani singer-actress Salma Aagha, as the female lead. Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher, Amrita Singh and Swara Bhaskar play pivotal roles in the film, which hits theaters May 17.
