Each year, we, at Ziba Beauty, have the unique privilege of dressing and designing the looks for the most beautiful brides. They are confident, knowledgeable, self-discerning young ladies that know exactly what they want and will not settle for less than the best. In the last 22 years, with hundreds of brides under our belt, we have learned quite a few tricks of the trade, helping our brides make their most important day extra special and stress free.
Mehndi: The Look: If a bride chooses to go very traditional, make sure the artist completes the circles around the arm. That way the bride looks like she has a continuous design no matter what angle you look at. The Mehndi shots then gorgeous and feel like an extension of the bride’s outfits.
Tip: Enhancing the art with glitter to match your outfit is the hottest look of the season. I recommend that look for the reception. I also suggest that the glitter work be done in patches to allow a three dimensional look.
The Issue: At Garba’s, most brides worry about the staying power of their makeup for the following reasons: perspiring (from all the dancing), hot climate (crowded spaces, lots of guests), added by oily skin and possible shedding a few (or many) tears of joy or all of the above.
Tips: There are 2 ways to avoid ruining your makeup on your special day: choose the right products, and learn how to use them correctly! I suggest the use of waterproof and smudge proof eyeliners (Check out the waterproof and smudge proof contrast pencils and the eye shadow pencils available at Ziba Beauty in deep and bright colors). Short of the make up artist staying with our brides, it is impossible to maintain the look an artist creates for a bride without the use of the right products.
