In the first part, I discussed how Mehndi can be used to enhance the bridal look and how to avoid ruining your make up.  In this part, I will explain how to keep the bride shining.

The issue: How do we keep the spotlight on the bride? I usually create a dark eye dark lip look with heavy lashes to enhance the bride’s eyes. You can then see every expression from the back of the room. I also try to match the bride’s lips with her bridal outfit, and then pull the hair away to not cover up anything else.

The Tips: The foundation: It is very important that you choose a good quality, oil-free foundation. Every bride should use foundation to some degree. Foundation and concealer are the most important aspects to looking good in photographs. Even the tiniest blemishes can show up in your photographs. Also, since many of us don't have perfect skin, these products allow for a flawless look. On the down side of things -no matter which foundation you use, a hot climate almost ensures that your face will begin to shine to some degree. How do you combat the shine? FACE POWDER. Make sure your foundation is spread all the way to your neckline and blended, so that your face does not look completely separate from your body.

The Reception:  It is always a challenge to keep elevating the look of a bride to match the grand Finale of a wedding reception. Every detail needs to be perfect, since many well-wishers will be focused on the bride. I always choose to highlight the colors in the brides outfit by applying similar colors in the water line of the bride’s eyes. I prefer to keep the lips a bit understated, and the hair half up, half down with a ton of curls pulled to the side.  Sometimes, I add flowers for a really exotic look. The overall effect: fun, young, and stylish.

The tips:  Blush is possibly one of the most overlooked beauty products, however, it is probably one of the most important. It makes brides look healthier and more alive. Powder blush is the most popular type of blush, and the easiest to apply on humid days. In actuality, it doesn't tend to slip and slide in hot weather...which is just what you need. A tad of gold highlighter just under your eye on the cheekbone helps take the attention away from your dark circles.

Well now that you have tons of inspiration from me to becoming  – the Bride of the Year and some tips to focus on, my final advise is to hire a professional you trust and then relax and enjoy your special moments. If you hire the right people, the rest takes care of itself.
