Geomagnetic Fields and Energy

Geomagnetic fields and energy

  • It’s a profound belief that creating homes with proper dimension and geometry benefits the occupants and imbues good flow of energy. Many years of research on the negative effects of shape of a room or a building on the occupants has revealed that it distorts the geo-magnetic field which in turn has a bearing on the human occupants and their prosperity.

Living on this Mother Earth, and being part of it, we are surrounded by an ocean of electromagnetic and stellar influences. Every subtle change or shift in the atmosphere has the potential to affect our thoughts and actions as each particle of energy is linked to the other in the atmosphere. Inside the human brain the “thalamus” is the relay center for all sensory and motor skills. Research and studies in Neurology has found that the firing patterns of neurons in the thalamus function differently depending on which direction the person is facing. In other words, our mind is the interactive result of the affect of the magnetic field on our brain cells. By aligning ourselves with the appropriate magnetic direction, we can think and act more in tune with nature.

The movement of the sun produces different qualities of energy on its path from east to west and can influence our daily life and in addition to this the five elements which is associated with the compass direction has an influence on our activities be it regular lifestyle or business. Hence understanding our building and the immediate environment is quite vital and this study is also known as “Bau-biology” which literally means, "building biology."  This study reveals the impact of many factors which affect the building and the occupants like thermal, magnetic, raditional and invisible energy fields.

An interesting aspect of Feng Shui and Vaastu research correlating it with the modern day science has found that the geomagnetic flux lines, temperature gradient and structural dimensions of a structure, form a helical shape when plotted graphically against the four directions.

This helix has a width to length ratio of 1:1.618, and is referred as the 'Golden Ratio’ in Vaastu. This Golden ratio is thought to be consistent with other naturally occurring forms, right from the ubiquitous microscopic, double helix DNA molecule, to the shape of gigantic galaxies. Adapting specific dimensions to the rooms and the building in accordance with the golden ratio has been found to be beneficial as the flow of energy within the building is harmonious. It has also been found that a building which has followed the golden ratio was in a position to supersede and counter all ill effects of Vaastu and Feng Shui and in turn it enhanced the prosperity of the occupants in all fronts.

Adapting such dimensions in construction would be more practical in new projects as the tenets and the geometry could be adapted more easily but getting them in place in an existing building to comply with tenets of Feng Shui or Vaastu principles is easier said than done. Positioning furniture, creating partitions and even placing potted plants in a specific pattern can simulate the effect of a golden ratio in a room and ensures that good energy is sustained.

In a existing place of dwelling one could get over the defects by integrating the principles of Vaastu and Feng Shui in the décor and use of Feng Shui symbolism to counter areas with bad energy which cannot be structurally altered.

Some of the general Guidelines to organize your space and maximize the positive energy are:-

    ·         Avoid Recurring cycles of accumulating and discarding clutter as they don’t promote good chi

    ·         Keep all appliances, from the kitchen stove to your bedside clock, in good working order.

    ·       Pay particular attention to clogged drains and leaky pipes. As conduits for energy, they should be kept clear at all times.

    ·    Check periodically on your foundation and roof—you need a solid base below you and a secure roof above you to be steady and secure.

    ·         Replace burnt-out light bulbs immediately and try to keep bright lights on in dark corners for long hours.

    ·         Make sure the “breathing” mechanisms of your home operate properly: keep heating, cooling, and ventilation systems in top shape.

    ·         Place healthy plants or flowers towards East of the Home and East of living areas.

    ·     Place in a porcelain plate sea salt ( rock salt) on the window sill to absorb negative Chi ( energy) .

Good fortune occurs when positive energy is focused on creating it. Actively create your own good fortune and experience the joy of good Feng Shui and Vaastu.
