Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan said Feb. 16 that he’d have to undergo a second surgery and that his stay in the hospital would be prolonged.
The 69-year-old actor, who underwent an abdominal surgery Feb. 11 at the Seven Hills hospital, posted on Twitter that he would be required to make another visit to the operation theater.
“Some more tests; more unpronounceable medication; and another visit to the OT … operation theater! (It’s) Going to be a long stay,” Tweeted the actor.
“I have no idea how long this will take, but it does look as though it will be long. Thank you for your prayers and love,” he added.
Bachchan, who was admitted to the hospital Feb. 11, has been updating his fans on his medical condition.
After his first surgery, the actor had posted on Twitter that he was in acute pain. Bachchan has been battling a string of stomach ailments since his near fatal intestinal injury while filming a fight scene for “Coolie” in 1982.
