Govi Rao Named Chairman of the New Jersey Tech Council

Govi Rao has been named chairman of the board of directors of the New Jersey Technology Council.

    The New Jersey Technology Council, which provides business support, networking and advocacy to almost 1,000 member companies, has named Govi Rao chairman of its board of directors.

    Rao is president and chief executive officer of Branchburg, N.J.-based Noveda Technologies, a provider of Web-based, real-time energy and water monitoring services. 
     
    NJTC chief executive Maxine Ballen said Rao "brings a unique background to the chairman’s role, having successfully led both technology startups and Fortune 500 companies.”
     
    Rao said, “I am deeply honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to actively contributing to the council’s objectives of reaffirming New Jersey's status as a top tier destination for technology companies.”
     
    He added, “The NJTC is a powerful catalyst for connections across companies, government, investors and talent across the region. I am inspired by the council’s achievements year over year and will endeavor to drive this even further.”
