The unit of Vikramaditya Motwane's romance, “Lootera,” has been shooting in a town called Purulia, which is a five-hour drive from Kolkata. The location of the shoot was a four-hour drive from the Akash hotel in Purulia. 

Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha would travel to and fro for eight hours every day, and shoot another 8-10 hours. Despite the profound exhaustion that had set in, given his vigorous schedule where they had to start the day at 3.30 a.m. after just three hours' sleep, the actor would still make it a point to entertain the huge crowd that would gather outside his hotel to see him. He would dance to tunes from “Band Baaja Baaraat” for the cheering crowd, which had even traveled from afar, and soon became the darling of Purulia district! Says Ranveer, "It was a great feeling to be able to reach out to so many people!" 

Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha even missed her cousin brother's wedding on February 17 and would tweet in her spare time.
