New Show Puts Big Focus on Small Screen

A new show called “Inside Indian Television” revisits the history and transformation of the small screen since its dawn decades ago. The show debuted May 4 on the Discovery Channel, and was produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

The program gives a “sneak peek into the success of television in India” and “an in-depth analysis about the current scenario in the television space,” said production head Samar Khan. 

“No one has ever chronicled the history of TV before and in this show we look back at the industry,” he said.

The show brings together several Indian film stars with roots in television including Khan, Kamal Hassan, Anupam Kher, Ekta Kapoor, Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar.
