announced the appointment of Bala Subramanian as a non-executive member of its board of directors. Subramanian has more than 15 years of leadership and management experience in the technology and digital retail fields focused on digital transformations and building out best-in-class consumer experiences in competitive environments, the company said. The Indian American is a highly respected executive with a proven track record of building high-powered organizations capable of delivering complex, reliable and highly-scalable solutions, it added. Subramanian is currently the chief digital officer of Best Buy and previously served as its CTO. Prior to that, Subramanian held leadership and technology strategist positions at T-Mobile.

Intrigo Systems, a provider of enterprise and cloud solutions in e-commerce, supply chain and procurement in the dynamic SAP ecosystem, named SAP veteran Ashutosh Kumar as managing director of EMEA operations.  Kumar was previously the chief business consultant and head of IoT/digital experience advisory services at SAP EMEA. Prior to SAP, Kumar worked with industry firms Schindler, Siemens and Tata Steel.

Nirmitee Shah was named among four new hires announced by State Street Corporation. Shah, along with Brian Buchinski, Penny O'Kelley and Rick Young were named to the company's insurance solutions business. Shah has been appointed head of product management for insurance platforms and services that provide accounting and regulatory reporting for clients.

Stryker nominated Rajeev Suri, as well as Sheri McCoy, to serve on the company’s board of directors. The pair await a May 2 vote to confirm their nominations. Suri is the president and CEO of Nokia. Under his leadership, the company has experienced significatant transformation through portfolio adjustments. He is also responsible for the company’s acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent, the company said. If elected, Suri and McCoy would bring Stryker’s board of directors to 10 active members.

Shammi Rana has been appointed as rapporteur of UNESCO Traditional Sports and Games to promote UNESCO’s Mandate on Traditional Sports and Games. Rana is also a secretary general of Asian Belt Wrestling Federation. He also promoted belt wrestling as martial arts and traditional sports and games. Rana is acclaimed globally as a PR expert and promoter of martial arts organizations, the company said. Rana works with state-level dignitaries across the continent of Asia to provide martial arts organizations with visibility and international recognition. Rana promoted the mission of UNESCO, attending international sporting events around the world and working with dignitaries. Rana also appointed as member of interim coordination committee of TSG in PAN America to promote traditional sports and games in PAN America.
