Minnesota Opera has hired Priti Gandhi for the newly created position of chief artistic officer. A native of Mumbai, India, Gandhi is currently artistic administrator of San Diego Opera, where she advises the general director on casting and artistic budgeting and oversees artistic contracting and management. The Indian American has previously served as a member of the administrative team at the San Diego Opera, and has held roles at the New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Opera, Seattle Opera, San Diego Opera, Théâtre du Châtelet, the Royal Opera House, Prague Estates Theatre, New York City Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra and San Francisco Opera. Gandhi graduated with a bachelor of arts in communications and a minor in theatre from the U.C. San Diego.

• Shopping rewards app Shopkick named Chethan Visweswar CTO. With more than 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley building large scale enterprise SaaS applications, Visweswar brings deep knowledge in software development, mobile applications and customer adoption for travel, loyalty and enterprise companies. He has held roles at Deem Inc., Coupa, Merced Systems, Outerbay Technologies, WebVan Inc. and Wipro Technologies. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in computer science from Bangalore University in India.

MLG Blockchain Consulting named Suman Das as CTO for the growing global enterprise blockchain consulting and development firm. Suman has 15 years of experience in software application development that includes eight years as an entrepreneur and founder of the Excoflare software development company. Suman previously worked at Unocoin, Paypal and Yahoo. He is a graduate of Guwahati University and NIELIT/DOEACC.

• Adello Biologics named Chintu Patel CEO. Most recently co-CEO, co-chairman and co-founder of Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Patel is now a co-chairman of the Amneal Board of Directors. Patel began his career at Eckerd Pharmacy. He has been recognized by his peers on numerous occasions, including the 2011 Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Life Sciences Award. With his wife, Falguni, Patel created the Irada Foundation, focused on health and education issues. He holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Rutgers College of Pharmacy.

• Neustar Inc. named Shailesh Shukla GM of security solutions. Shukla joins Neustar from Instart Logic. Prior to Instart Logic, Shukla worked at Cisco Systems as GM of successive business units. Previously, Shukla was VP of marketing and partnerships at Juniper Networks. Earlier in his career, he was part of the management team that took Redback Networks public. Shukla holds an M.B.A. from the MIT Sloan School of Management, an M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Kansas and a B.S. in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

• Rocket Pharmaceuticals Inc. named Dr. Gayatri R. Rao VP of regulatory policy and patient advocacy. Rao most recently served as director of the Office of Orphan Products Development within the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Rao previously was an associate chief counsel in FDA’s Office of Chief Counsel. She began her career at an international law firm in Washington, D.C. She holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a master of bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and an M.D. from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School.
