RedLock, a cloud threat defense company, named Ankur Shah VP of products, where he will be responsible for driving the RedLock product roadmap. Shah has spent more than 15 years bringing innovative security, collaboration and virtualization technologies to market. He joins RedLock after three years at CipherCloud, where, as head of Products, he launched and led the go-to-market strategy for its cloud access security broker solution. Prior to CipherCloud, Shah worked at Symantec, Citrix and Cisco. He earned a B.S. in electrical engineering in India and has an M.B.A. from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

FireEye Inc. named Vasu Jakkal chief marketing officer. Jakkal most recently served as VP of corporate marketing at Brocade, where she focused on driving preference and demand for networking solutions and led the mission to raise the company’s global awareness. Jakkal previously served as chief of staff to LSI's CEO and was head of strategic initiatives and marketing for the company. Earlier in her career, she spent more than a decade at Intel in a variety of leadership roles in marketing, engineering, strategy and general management. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and College of Engineering, Pune.

Clean Wave Technologies Inc. named Manoj Karwa VP of global sales and marketing. Prior to joining Clean Wave, Karwa managed Leviton Manufacturing’s global electric vehicle infrastructure business. He has also held leadership roles at General Motors, Ricardo Consulting Engineers, Visteon Corp., A.T. Kearney and Alcoa Corp. Karwa earned a bachelor's from Carnegie Mellon University, a master's from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Acxiom named Anneka Gupta as co-president of LiveRamp. Gupta will oversee the product, engineering, marketing and general and administrative functions.

RedLock also announced it has appointed Viswa Soubramanien as VP of engineering to lead research and development. Soubramanien brings 15 years of experience to RedLock in building products for network, email and cloud security. He pioneered the industry's first low-friction CASB solution as VP of engineering for CipherCloud. Previously, he served as lead architect at Trend Micro for its next-generation Advanced Persistent Threat event correlation platform. He earned a B.S. in computer science from India and an M.S. in computer science from the University of Madras.

• Carmel, Ind., Mayor Scott Fadness named Gurinder Singh Khalsa to lead the Fishers Town Building Corp. as board director and vice president. Khalsa was the first American Sikh to sit on the corporation’s board before being appointed to leadership roles earlier this year. He is the founder and president of the Sikhs Political Action Committee.

ValGenesis Inc. named Dr. Ajaz Hussain to its board of directors and as chairman of the advisory board. Hussain brings a wealth of international pharmaceutical regulatory and business experience to ValGenesis, including his decade-long tenure with the United States Food and Drug Administration, Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. He also currently serves as the president of The National Institute for Pharmaceutical Technology and Education.
