Sutherland Healthcare named Dr. Shailja Dixit as chief medical officer and global head of digital innovation. The Indian American has had leadership roles in every sector of healthcare, from provider organizations to health plans, pharma and devices. She led the incubation team at GE Healthcare and held roles at Sanofi, Allergan and Accenture. A trained physician, Dixit holds a master's in informatics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as well as a master’s in Public Health from Columbia University.

Adtalem Global Education named Mehul Patel group president of professional education. Most recently, Patel was president of Apollo Global. Prior to that, he served as president of Kaplan Professional Publishing and Kaplan Professional Schools. Earlier, Patel had key roles at Thomson Learning/NETg. Patel, who is currently on the No Barriers board of directors, received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

• Danish toy company Lego has appointed Niels B. Christiansen, who headed thermostat-maker Danfoss for nine years, as its chief executive, replacing interim CEO Bali Padda. Padda will continue with Lego in a special advisory role. Padda, a 61-year-old India-born Britisher and Lego's former chief operations officer, was only considered a temporary CEO, according to an Associated Press report.

• Scott Flemming, men's basketball coach at Northwest Nazarene University, is leaving his position to become the head of NBA India in a senior director of basketball operations capacity. Flemming will oversee a program which has grown from a grass roots organization, to a program which is hosting major events. One of the major goals in his role will be looking for the first India born player who will suit up for an NBA regular season game.

• The Andersons Inc. announced that Srikanth Dasari will be the new VP and treasurer. Most recently he served as the treasurer of Westinghouse Electric Company. Prior to that, Dasari spent five years with Dow Corning and 12 years with Owens-Illinois Inc. Dasari earned his bachelor's from Osmania University in India, a master's from the University of Toledo and an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Coho Partners Ltd. named Nimrit Kang as portfolio manager and investment analyst. Prior to joining Coho, Kang was the director of research and investment strategy for ICMA-RC. Before that, she spent 12 years at DuPont Capital Management. Kang graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in chemical engineering and earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. She is a member of the CFA Society of Philadelphia, serving on the board from 2013 to 2016, and a member of the CFA Institute.

Twin Brook Capital Partners, the middle-market direct lending subsidiary of Angelo, Gordon & Co., announced that Vishal Sheth, former director on Angelo, Gordon’s finance and accounting team, has been appointed CFO. Prior to joining Angelo, Gordon in 2014, Sheth worked at Fortress Investments and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a bachelor of science from New York University and an M.B.A. from Dartmouth University.
