Uday Kamath, an experienced data scientist and machine learning expert, joins Digital Reasoning as the company’s chief analytics officer. Kamath will lead the company’s AI and analytics strategy. Most recently, he served as the chief data scientist at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. Prior to that, Kamath served as an analytics architect at Norkom Technologies. His doctorate in big data machine learning was one of the first in generalized scaling of machine learning algorithms.

• The Littleton Regional Healthcare board of trustees and medical staff have appointed Dr. Kuyilan Karai Subramanian as the newest hospitalist to join the medical staff. Subramanian comes to LRH with more than 10 years of experience in medicine. The Indian American physician completed his residency in internal medicine at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. He received his undergraduate medical degree from Sri Ramachandra University. His clinical experience comes from many other institutions including Exchange Clinical Clerk at Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals. Subramanian also served as medical officer at the Rotary Club of Chennai.

j2 Global Inc. has selected Vivek Shah to succeed Nehemia Zucker as CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Shah has most recently served as CEO of Ziff Davis LLC, j2’s digital media business. Prior to joining j2 in 2012, Shah led the purchase of Ziff Davis in 2010 in partnership with a private equity firm. From 1995 to 2009, Shah held various management positions at Time Inc., including group president of digital.

Smarten Spaces, a Singapore-headquartered company, named Dinesh Malkani as founding partner and worldwide CEO. Malkani brings a differentiated perspective on the future evolution of organizations and industries as they adapt to the opportunities the 4th Industrial Revolution will bring. He will lead the pioneer team responsible for shaping the blueprint to design, define, develop and deploy the company’s strategy worldwide. He will also be a member of the Smarten Spaces Board.

Cloudify, provider of cloud-native software for automating operations for application and network services, named Dr. Krish A. Prabhu special strategic adviser. Prabhu most recently served as president of AT&T Labs and chief technology officer. Prabhu has served as a strategic adviser and a senior executive at some of the most prominent networking companies around the globe, including AT&T and CEO at Tellabs. Earlier in his career, he held several management positions at Alcatel in Paris. He earned his master’s and doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He received his master of science in physics from the Indian Institute of Technology and his bachelor of science in physics from Bangalore University.

Microland announced the appointment of Arindam Sengupta as senior VP of the Middle East. Sengupta joins Microland with over 20 years of experience across a spectrum of management and leadership roles in the IT Services and the BPO industry.

Beyond Limits, an artificial intelligence and cognitive computing company, announced it has appointed Dr. Manikanda Arunachalam, cardiologist and VC specialist, as its senior VP for corporate development and investments. Arunachalam holds an M.D. from Madras Medical College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania.
