DeepBrain Chain

Dr. Hongquan Jiang, partner at Germany’s Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (RBVC), has joined DeepBrain Chain as Chief A.I. Consultant.

On June 23, 2018, Dr. Hongquan Jiang, partner at Germany’s Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH (RBVC), joined DeepBrain Chain as Chief A.I. Consultant.

Over the last decade, Dr. Jiang has led multiple successful investments in the areas of automotives, IoT, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality in Europe, the U.S. and China, as well as playing a key role in RBVC’s investment in IOTA. Within RBVC, Dr. Jiang led investments in automation and electrification, an area that includes sensors, semiconductors, MEMS, electronics, robotics, and autonomous cognitive systems.

“In an age when A.I. is taking off so quickly, DeepBrain Chain’s decentralized cloud service based on the blockchain can transform the whole A.I. industry dynamic, resulting in unprecedented efficiency,” said Dr. Jiang. “There will be many uses cases in the auto and IoT fields in particular. I’m honored to have the opportunity to witness and participate in the success of such a revolutionary business model.”

Dr. Jiang says he joined DeepBrain Chain’s consulting team because of its competitive edge. DeepBrain Chain is an A.I. computing platform powered by blockchain technology; it can efficiently solve a lack of, or unequally distributed, A.I. computing power, as well as data privacy protection issues in A.I. Traditional, centralized cloud computing enterprises frequently encounter privacy and security issues with regard to user access, opacity, and network dependencies. DeepBrain Chain can solve these issues while at the same time providing A.I. enterprises the most computing power at the lowest cost.

Dr. Jiang joined RBVC in 1996. He has broad experience in the automotive and electronics industries in particular. His previous positions at RBVC include investment director of RBVC’s internal technology incubator, senior manager for corporate business development for healthcare, project leader for a variety of technology projects, and senior researcher. He has in-depth understanding of A.I. technology, and has invested in renowned A.I. chip company Graphcore in England.

Before joining RBVC, Dr. Jiang worked as a research scientist in the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration in Munich, Germany.

RBVC is one of the the world’s leading technology investors and is headquartered in Stuttgart, Germany with more than 400,000 employees, 2017 sales revenue of 78.1 billion euros, and more than 400 subsidiaries in 60 countries around the world. Their business is divided into four fields, including automotive and smart-transportation technology, industrial technology, consumer goods and energy, and architecture technology.

DeepBrain Chain and RBVC will co-host a meet-up on July 12, 2018 in Stuttgart, Germany. Attendees coming to see firsthand DeepBrain Chain’s A.I. training TestNet will include representatives from well-known A.I. research institutes, leaders in the field of self-driving cars, major European automotive firms, and more.
