Himalayan Valleys Inspire Cookbook Author Vikas Khanna

Award-winning Michelin-starred Indian chef Vikas Khanna launched his new cookbook, “Return to the Rivers: Recipes and Memories of the Himalayan River Valleys” (Lake Isle Press), at an exclusive tasting event at Junoon restaurant here Jan. 28.

Authoring the lavishly illustrated, 444-page book with Andrew Blackmore-Dobbyn, Khanna explores recipes and culture from northern India, Bhutan, Nepal, Tibet and western China. His Holiness the Dalai Lama has contributed the foreword to the book. (Andy Chang photo)
