MUMBAI—Ajay Devgn and producer-director Indra Kumar have previously collaborated in “Ishq” and “Masti” successfully. Now exploring the actor’s comic timing even more after the latter 2004 success, the two have decided to come together for “Total Dhamaal.”
Devgn will play the lead in the forthcoming third installment of the comedy franchise, whose first two parts came in 2007 (“Dhamaal”) and 2011 (“Double Dhamaal”). Excited about the same, Kumar mentioned that he is keenly looking forward to the film in which the rest of the older star cast (except Sanjay Dutt) will be retained.
Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chowdhry, Riteish Deshmukh and Javed Jafferi starred in the films as central characters. While the first movie had no female actresses, the second more ambitious one starred Mallika Sherawat and Kangana Ranaut.
