Katrina Kaif, though present in the song "Afghan Jalebi" from "Phantom" had to give dancing a miss, as it would have been weird for her to suddenly get out of her character.

This is the first time since "Rajneeti" in 2010 that Katrina won't be dancing in her movie.

"Phantom" is a hardcore intense action thriller, which has Katrina playing the spy, so she couldn't just start shaking her hips to an item number. She does accept that the sole purpose of "Afghan Jalebi" is to promote the film.

"You do need to kind of promote and you need to have something visible on TV for the audience to be able to connect with the film," said Katrina.

"Sajid and Kabir wanted to do a song, but they were very conscious that they did not want to jump out of the world of the film....all of a sudden and cut to a song. So there was no choreography for me in the song. I am not dancing. It's just my presence in the song," she adds.

Well, those who are fans of Katrina's dancing might be disappointed for now. But it should surely help "Phantom" feel more authentic and true to its story.
