The song "Kala Chashma" from the upcoming film "Baar Baar Dekho" is a remake of an old Punjabi song with the same title.

The song "Kala Chashma" is out, and it transports you back 10 years. Remember the peppy song composed by UK-based Punjabi singer Amar Arshi? It took the party circuits by storm and went on to become a chart buster. Well, the much-hyped and teased song from the upcoming film of debutante director Nitya Mehra's movie "Baar Baar Dekho" is the same as the old super-hit song.

The cast and crew of the film have been teasing fans with the 'first look this and first look that.' Poster teasers and song teasers have been making the rounds on social media, accelerating the hype around this Sidharth Malhotra- and Katrina Kaif-starrer. Produced by the successful producer-friend trio Karan Johar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, this is the first song to be released from this much-anticipated love story. Malhotra teased his followers before the release of the song with a still of himself from the music video.

The teaser to the song was tweeted by Johar and the other team members.

Being hailed as the newest party-starter song and the next wedding anthem, it is a remake/repackaged song that is recreated by Badshah; written by Amrik Singh and Kumaar; and sung by Amar Arshi (the original composer/singer), Badshah and Neha Kakkar. "Kala Chashma Chachda Hai" translates to "Black Sunshades Suit You."

Shot in a wedding backdrop with all the colors and glitter, this song is high on glam quotient. There's Kaif and Malhotra gyrating to this Punjabi song, and then there's unexpected dancers joining in. Much-dressed in wedding party regalia, Sayani Gupta and All India Backchod's Rohan Joshi also show their moves. While Gupta was last seen playing an important role in the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Fan," Rohan Joshi is a member of AIB, the digital entertainment content makers. Character artists Ram Kapoor and Rajit Kapur are also seen dancing in the music video.

Kaif is taking her crumping, locking and popping dance skills to the next level by using it extensively in any song she dances to, while Malhotra, on the other hand, is swaying effortlessly to the beat.

In under 24 hours since its release, the "Baar Baar Dekho" music video has been viewed over two million times and is topping the charts. Producer Johar can hardly contain his excitement about its success.
