MUMBAI—Tiger Shroff’s killer dance and action moves, Nidhhi Agerwal’s looks and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s power-packed avatar have already amassed an overwhelming response to the trailer of Sabbir Khan’s “Munna Michael.” After the response to the film’s first song “Main Hoon,” a new Street Dance song, “Ding Dang” is all set to follow its antecedent’s popularity.

With the mass-oriented Chandan Cinema (bang next to the elite PVR Juhu multiplex) as its venue, the launch of the song was a festive affair. To create the ambiance and vibe of the song, the grounds of the iconic single screen was transformed into a carnival-like setting with over 100 bikers and professional dancers. And that wasn’t all – over a thousand “Tigerians” gathered at the event to watch the GenY star perform to the song.

The song has been composed by Javed -Mohsin, with vocals by Amit Mishra and Antara Mitra and lyrics by Kumaar as a tribute to Tiger’s father, Jackie Shroff. Tiger drew inspiration from his father for his look in the music video of “Ding Dang” – the song “Ding Dong O Baby Sing A Song” was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal and written by Anand Bakshi in Jackie’s 1983 debut “Hero.”

Said director Khan: “We styled Tiger in a manner similar to his father in the 90’s when he was the most popular fashion icon. The song invokes a sense of celebration. We wanted to mark its launch in the most eventful way possible, and we did. ”

Producer Viki Rajani added, “Music is a key attraction of any Hindi film, and this song is one that we hope will catch on everywhere. This is a fun street song, and we have given it the scale and elements it needed.” Produced by Eros International and Next Gen Films, the film releases July 21.

Come to think of it, the film is inspired by and titled from Michael Jackson, who is Tiger’s idol. And his father is Jaikishan aka Jackie Shroff. In that sense, Tiger too is a Jack-Son. Alright, it was just a joke.
